Pinnacle Memorial Hospital, York PA

My elderly mother just had a health scare and was in the hospital for 4 nights.

She was bleeding badly and her doctor was afraid for her life, so he sent her to the hospital.

She was taken by ambulance to Pinnacle Memorial Hospital off route 30, in York Pennsylvania.

I am happy to say that she received excellent care while in the hospital there!

She did wait an extremely long time in the ER. You would think that a person in danger of bleeding out would be taken back quickly, but she was kept sitting in a wheelchair in the waiting room for 7 hours.

However, once she was taken back, everyone was wonderful. From doctors and nurses to techs, everyone was kind, comforting and professional.

They took the time to answer any questions or concerns we had without making us feel stupid and without looking like they didn’t have time for us, despite the fact that they were extremely busy.

Once admitted to the hospital, she was given a private room on the fourth floor. Her room was comfortable, clean and bright.

Again, the doctors, nurses and techs were kind, comforting and professional. They took the time to answer all our questions and concerns, despite the fact that they were extremely busy. They were cheerful or sympathetic, whichever was needed at the moment, even telling little jokes to make my mother laugh.

I would also like to add that, while generally speaking, hospital food is known for being terrible and bland, all the meals my mother was served looked delicious and my mother said that they were indeed very tasty!

Being sick in the hospital is never fun but being well cared for by kind and cheerful hospital stuff certainly makes a fearful time in your life much better!

Thank you very much, Pinnacle Memorial Hospital!
