
This beautiful young woman was evading me, but she finally emerged from my canvas, and I have to say that she was worth the struggle!
Thanks to my husband’s encouragement, I did not give up on her!
Before getting to this version of her, I repainted her completely three or four times.
This final version, which I love, is painted on a 9×12 cradled wood panel.
Underneath is decoupage and matte medium. On top is Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground.
She is painted with Rachel Beth watercolors, Pearl Grey Gallery watercolors, Paper Fashions watercolors, Turner Acryl Gouache, Caran d’ache Neocolor ii with touches of Micron Pigma pens.
I love the white halo that is around her.
