Fighting Weight Gain and Hypoglycemic Attacks

Tuesday, July 12th

Here’s some morning Buttercup Bunny cuteness for you!

It can be a vicious circle.

You have pain that stops you from exercising and then you gain weight.

In an attempt to loss the weight, you cut calories and then you have low blood sugar attacks.

To stop the low blood sugar attacks (Hypoglycemia), you have to eat more.

Then you gain back the weight you lost. Plus more.

Atleast that’s how it’s been for me.

It’s just a never ending vicious cycle.

How do you break the cycle?

I don’t actually know the answer to that question. If you do, please tell me!

And so it starts again…

I’ve finally started losing some weight but I also started having non-stop low sugar attacks again too.

Low sugar attacks can do a lot of harm to your organs and brain so, I’m very concerned with stopping them.

My Nutritionist reccomended adding another meal or atleast a 1/2 chicken or turkey sandwich.

It seems like her answer is always, “Eat more.”

I DON’T WANT TO EAT MORE!

So, I’ve been resisting. I don’t want to eat more.

For one thing, Im not hungry.

For another, with my sleep disorder, my daylight hours are so short that I don’t have time, or want to take the time, to make another meal and eat it!

Lastly, now that I’ve starting losing weight, I’m afraid of gaining it back by adding another meal.

I talked to my friend Erum about it because she has successfully lost a lot of weight and is keeping it off.

She asked what I generally eat everyday and how much protein I get daily.

Erum felt my protein is way to low and also suggested adding a mid day chicken breast, so…

I gave in and today, I added an extra chicken breast, a couple small pieces of French bread and some cucumber spears and…

Lunch! A grilled chicken breast, French bread and cucumber sticks

It worked!

No non-stop low sugar attacks today!

So, I’ll just have to watch my calories.

Tonight for Dinner…

Tonight I made Chicken Cacciatore!

I’ve loved Italian food all of my life but I was introduced to Chicken Cacciatore when a friend of mine cooked it for dinner.

That was way back when I was in highschool.

Before that, I had never even heard of it!

Chicken Cacciatore on rice

I don’t make it that often but I still love it.

It’s a pretty easy dish to make from scratch but I have an extra bottle of Fody Foods Marinara sauce, so I thought I’d use that as the base.

It turned out wonderful!

I’ll type up my recipe for you and share it with you!

Have a great day!
